Scotland Lodge is located just off the A303, a major transport link in the south of England, less than 2 miles from the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. Our central location also allows easy access to most of the south of England and beyond.

The original part of our Lodge was built in the 16th century. In Victorian times, the property was subjected to major upgrades, which forms our façade today. In time, Scotland Lodge became an important equestrian facility for the UK, before finally being converted into its present hospitality character.

As with any major vintage property, Scotland Lodge is continually undergoing renovations and improvements, such as the recent implementation of WiFi which now covers the whole of the internal property.

Most of our rooms are en-suite, and tastefully decorated to match the presence and age of the property. Much of the property’s original features remain, such as the original timber staircase in the entrance and decorative fireplaces in every room.

We are only 2 hours from London, 1 hour to Bath and 20 minutes to Salisbury, which is home to the highest cathedral spire in the UK.
